Clipping Masks
You can create a clipping mask to hide part of an object or image. The clipping mask must be on top of the artwork to be masked.
How to create a clipping mask
  1. Create a vector object want to use as a mask.
  2. Place the object on top of the object you want to mask.
  3. Choose Arrange > Bring to Front.
  4. Select the mask and the object you want to mask.
  5. Choose Arrange > Mask.
    A clipping mask is created only showing the intersecting area of mask and masked object.
  6. Optional: You can use the Selection tool to manipulate individual anchor points on the clipping mask.
How to release objects from a clipping mask
    1. Select a masked object.
    2. Choose Arrange > Unmask.
        The removed mask is placed on top of the unmasked object as a hairline path.

How to create three-dimensional objects
With the Extrude function extrude, you can easily add depth to an object by extending it along a specific axis.
    1. Select the object you want to convert to a three-dimensional item.
    2. Select the Boxletter tool  extrude your Tools panel.

         on the control panel.
        A red frame appears with one handle in the upper right corner.
    4. Drag the handle to the desired position and click Apply.
        –OR–
        Enter numerical values into the control panel and click Apply.

How to distort objects
The Distort tool distort lets you manipulate the shape of a vector object. You can give an object a 3D look or create the illusion of perspective. Choose one of the predefined shapes or drag the corners of the distort box with the mouse.
    1. Select the object you want to distort.
    2. Select the Distort tool from the Tools panel.
    3. Select a distortion type from the control panel.
    4. Click Apply.

How to apply a fisheye effect to objects
With the Fisheye tool fisheye, you can create the illusion of objects being round or hollow. This visual effect can make objects appear to come out from the paper or sink into it.
    1. Select the object you want to manipulate.
    2. Select the Fisheye tool from the Tools panel.
    3. Enter the values for the effect into the control panel.
    4. Click Apply.

How to create artwork in perspective with the perspective grid
The Perspective tool pewrspective lets you apply 3D effects to your objects by means of altering the angles on the XYZ axes.
    1. Select the object you want to manipulate.
    2. Select the Perspective tool from the Tools panel.
        A red preview grid will appear
    3. Click on the grid and drag it into the desired perspective.
        –OR–
        Enter the distortion angle of the XYZ axes into the control panel.

Shearing Objects

You can shear objects horizontally and/or vertically with the Shear function of the Selection tool.
How to shear objects
  1. Select the object which you want to shear with the Selection tool.
  2. Click the Shear button shear on the control panel.
  3. Click the point from where to shear the object.
    An anchor will be shown on that position.
  4. Drag the cursor to shear the object.

  5. Optional: To copy the object while shearing, hold down the ALT key (Windows) or          Option key (MacOS).
  6. To shear along an axis, specify a horizontal and vertical shear angle.
  7. To create shear copies, enter the number of copies in the control panel.
  8. Click Apply.
